Welcome to The Prickly Pear Restaurant. Located bonterra style in a former church in Mooresville, North Carolina, The Prickly Pear offers deliciouus modern Mexican cuisine with a European twist. Our restaurant is located in Mooresville, NC, which is in the Lake Norman area just north of Charlotte. Join us for your next meal or special occasion. We offer an extensive wine list, a full menu of specialty margaritas, and exquisite meals. Euro-Mexican fusion entrees include uncommon offerings such as pumpkin seed-crusted halibut, shellfish enchiladas in lobster chipotle cream sauce, white chocolate mole lamb chops and a namesake salad of prickly pear cactus. The Prickly Pear restaurant also offers live guitar music on Friday and Saturday nights. Chef Raul Ortegon, who has worked in the kitchen of Acapulco's famed Las Brisas Hotel, as well as some of Charlotte's top restaurants, prepares gourmet dishes that are akin to those found in Acapulco's or Mexico City's better restaurants. The Prickly Pear restaurant is open for dinner Sunday through Thursday from 5:00 P.M. to 9:30 P.M., and 10:30 P.M. on Friday and Saturday. Lunch is served from 11:00 A.M. to 2:30 P.M.seven days a week, with brunch on Sundays.
