Welcome to Harvest Presbyterian Church
35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."

This passage more than any embodies the essence of the vision of this new church. We want to build a new type of community because there are way too many people in the crowd of our contemporary world who are harassed and helpless, who have never experienced the healing power of the gospel. These are people who do not go to church and have no interest visiting the churches they know, but these are people who want to know the truth and are yearning for peace. We want to build a church that exudes a sense of unconditional love and acceptance. A place where anyone and everyone has the freedom to just "come as they are," and in coming that they would hear and experience the hope of the gospel so they don't just "stay as they are."
We also find ourselves identifying with the harassed and helpless and desperately need the hope of the gospel in our lives. We ourselves long for a community that will help us experience the transforming hope of the gospel. This is why God has called us to plant and build Harvest Presbyterian Church.
Our hope is to start a new church that is radically transformed by the power of the gospel in the Howard County area so that those who do not go to church and who do not live in the hope of the gospel would be given the opportunity to hear the good news, accept Gods radical love and become authentic disciples of Jesus so that we would impact our world locally and globally.
This website has been designed to help you understand our story and feel the burden God has placed on our hearts. Our prayer is that in seeing and feeling you would seriously consider joining us on this crazy endeavor.
