Dr. Winford L. Hendrix Called As Transition Pastor
The church voted during a called conference on Sunday evening, November 21, to call Dr. Winford Hendrix as our Transition Pastor. Dr. Hendrix will begin a full-time position with us on Sunday, January 2, 2011. He comes to us with many years of transition pastor experience and will not only fill our senior pastor position on an interim basis, but will be a tremendous resource for the staff and congregation as we move forward with the strategic plan and the pastor search process. We look forward to welcoming Dr. Hendrix and his wife, Carol, to our congregation. - Personnel Council
Through Praying, Giving, and Going

Join us in the Fellowship Hall Wednesday, December 1, at 5:30 p.m. to learn more about this troubled country. (more)
Global Missions Offering Emphasis
Most of Pastor Ronnie Adams’ days are spent at Metro Baptist Church, a small congregation in the Hell’s Kitchen area of Manhattan. The congregation bought its building in 1984, when Hell’s Kitchen was one of the city’s more difficult neighborhoods. The then pastor prayed that God would only give them the building if they could use it nonstop for community outreach. For more than two decades, the congregation has done just that. Church members started Rauschenbusch Metro Ministries, which serves the community in many ways. (more)
