Creating Healthy Crawl Space Environments Since 2000
John Salmon become interested in mold remediation in 2000. Living in New Orleans working as a renovation project manager he saw firsthand how mold can damage a structure.
He then investigated the Indoor Air Quality Association and found they provided classes in several areas of mold assessment and remediation. In 2001, after schooling and passing an exam, Salmon was certified as a Microbial Remediator and started his own business.
In 2005, the Hurricane Katrina destruction led John to relocate to Tryon NC. Salmon.
From there, he traveled went back to New Orleans to assist his former clients and friends with catastrophic mold problems.
After six months in a destroyed city he decided to relocate the business to North Carolina.
Indoor mold in North Carolina is not as the same level of indoor problems in Southern Louisiana. What he found was an overwhelming amount of vented, dirt crawl spaces contributing to mold growth and poor indoor air quality. Since then, he's made it his mission to help residents in his local area to create healthier, longer-lasting crawl space environments in their home.
Salmon has also been certified by IAQA as a Residential Mold Inspector and maintains two IAQA certifications. Foothills Crawl Space operates in North Carolina, including Tryon, Rutherfordton, Hendersonville and surrounding areas.
