Luster Studios is my personal portfolio where I share weddings, events, engagement sessions and portraits. My origins stem from a fine arts degree in photography and computer graphics. My "style" is a perfect blend of creative ideas driven by a relaxed attitude and a fun yet thoughtful personality.
Through a combination of posing and photojournalism I capture planned and spontaneous moments that will later help you relive how you were feeling at that exact moment. I'm based in North Carolina and often travel to destination locations. I look forward to getting to know what inspires you both creatively and personally.

The Biltmore Estate is one of my favorite wedding venues in Asheville, NC. For Amy and Andy’s wedding I was also excited when they told me that we would be staying at The Grand Bohemian Hotel. As you can see below we took advantage of both venues as a backdrop for their portraits and their wedding photographs.
Many couples consider these to be a destination wedding locations if they are traveling from out of state but for me it’s well worth the 3 hour drive from Raleigh to be able to photograph on such beautiful grounds.
I think Amy and Andy were initially a little bummed that it had continued to rain as their ceremony time neared but we all had our fingers crossed that we would be able to have their wedding outside. Unfortunately this was not to be… but I assured them that some of the most meaningful photography can come from the “unplanned.”
Sure enough… after their wedding ceremony the clouds miraculously broke so we seized the moment and rushed to the Biltmore House! For our patience we were rewarded with one of the most spectacular sunsets I’ve ever seen at the estate. The photographs we took are some of my favorites from this past year and I’m so grateful that Amy and Andy invited me to be a meaningful part of their wedding.
For their honeymoon they are heading to France to drive down through the French countryside and then to Provence and the Cote dAzur. I wish you both a safe trip and many more wonderful memories to come as husband and wife!
