The Inspection: Filling the Information Gap
Do you know enough to make an informed decision about the house you are buying?
A home inspection will tell you about the nuts and bolts of the house. Is the AC cooling the house? Is the roof showing signs of advanced age? Are strange things growing on the back basement wall?
Once we live in a house, we don’t want to have to go around checking for things that are falling apart. We want to take the house for granted.
But, before you close on the house, you need to take the time to focus on the workings of the house. Does anything need to be fixed right now? Will it be expensive? Are other major repairs on the horizon? Are there things I can fix myself? And what maintenance do I have to do to avoid major problems down the road.
