A Private Military School for Teens, Boys and Girls
A Coeducational Boarding Academy located in Oak Ridge, North Carolina. Among the top military schools in the USA.
Oak Ridge Military Academy. Established in 1852, Oak Ridge is the official military school of North Carolina and is the second (2nd) oldest military academy in the United States. First among private military schools to enroll females in the cadet corps, ORMA has a ninety nine percent (99%) college acceptence rate for its graduates since 1991. Oak Ridge also offers a varity of athletic sports to its cadets. Varsity Football, Basketball, GIrls Basketball, Girls Volleyball, and soccer are some of the sports offered to students. Located outside of Greensboro, NC, the academy sits on a 101 acre campus that houses buildings from the late 1800s to a modern 33,000 square foot academic building. Today Oak Ridge enrolls male and female students grades 8th - 12th. Oak Ridge also offers a summer leadership program and an academic program to boys and girls during the summer. In additional to the private school education provided during the school year, the academy also offers a "Spring Advantage Program" which helps teens get back on track to finish the school year, while in a private school setting.
