With the Blessed Virgin Mary, the first disciple of Jesus Christ, as our example and patron, the mission of Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church is to proclaim and share the Gospel entrusted to us. We celebrate our oneness with the Risen Christ, with each other and the entire Church, through the sacraments, especially the Holy Eucharist. We accept the direction given us by the Second Vatican Council. We are committed to this mission by the worship, education, fellowship, and outreach to the needy.

WELCOME TO OUR PARISH!
I am happy that you have visited our website here at Queen of the Apostles Church in Belmont, North Carolina.

We are a vibrant and growing community of faith that serves the communities and the peninsula of eastern Gaston County, and western Charlotte metro area as well.

Queen of the Apostles is a diverse community. It is a patchwork of southern folk who have been raised in this area, who also represent as portion of the African American heritage of this part of the Piedmont of North Carolina as well as Catholics from Asia and the Pacific who have made their home here. At the same time, Catholics have moved to join us because of job relocations or other employment opportunities from the northeast US as well as the Midwest. We continue to grow as this area becomes a prime location for families coming to the metro Charlotte area.
Like most parishes, you will find information on our site that points you to our faith formation and outreach programs, but it is the spirit of this parish community that is unique. This is a community that is most generous in its outreach and willing to make many different ministerial things happen.
As pastor I would like to invite you to learn more about us, visit us if you can, and consider becoming part of our community. We are all pilgrims on journey to the Kingdom of God. We would love to be able to walk with you! Bring your gifts and talents and join us on the way. We have many challenges ahead of us: how to house our growing community and how to stay committed to and current in the programs we offer our members. We want to invite you help us as we face this part of our future together.
If we can be of any particular assistance to you; if we can answer any of your questions or assist you in discerning whether or not you would like to join us in the Catholic faith, then please feel free to contact us. The church office is ready to help you any way we can.
Also, we are happy to pray for you or any of your needs. Let us know what they might be and we will include them in our prayers here at the parish.
We hope that this website will give you insight into who we are. We hope it will motivate you to come and see, and maybe stay a while?
-Father Frank, pastor
