Set apart yet close to home

Yes, Aqueduct is a conference and retreat center, but it so much more! It is a hidden gem, awaiting your discovery. The town of Chapel Hill, N.C., is minutes away, yet this serene and relaxing environment takes you to a place of respite that is a world apart. Come away and be refreshed by our serene atmosphere, warm welcoming hospitality and delicious meals. The main lodge opens into a beautifully appointed gathering area that leads you to a spacious living room with a Grand Piano and wood burning fireplace. Off to the left, there is a small library with a pine table that can seat up to 15 people. To the right is our charming dining room. Serving up a buffet of homemade meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner our chef delights in catering your group’s menu selections. Although our menus are seasonal, they are always memorable!
Undoubtedly, our very best feature is the large covered deck that overlooks 40 miles of natural beauty. You may even choose to enjoy your meal here. Guests often linger to watch a sunrise or sunset, catch their breath in a rocking chair, read a good book or chat with their companions. If you are blessed to be at Aqueduct for the rising of the full moon over the fields, that is a sight that never leaves you!
A short walk from the main lodge brings you to our two cottages. The large meeting space in either cottage can be customized to the specific needs of your group. For your convenience we offer AV equipment, complimentary Wifi, and all day beverage service. Each cottage has a wood burning fireplace, private bedrooms which feature balconies, 2 double beds and a bath. An array of beautiful artwork compliments our inviting furnishings throughout each building.
There are many birds, blooms and natural places to explore all over Aqueduct’s 22 acres. Relax in the hammock. Unwind and breathe. Making yourself comfortable is our mission!
We recommend a personal guided tour, but in the meantime, please check out the virtual tour
