Founded in 1918, Crouch-Mitch House Moving Company was established using the basic principals of engineering coupled with some simple tools of the era to relocate houses. Since that time, modern technology combined with many years of experience have resulted in the successful, reliable and distinguished house moving company of today. The family-owned business is now operated by the fourth generation great-grandson, Emory Mitchell, Jr.
In 1963, the business was expanded by forming Mitch Contracting Company, Inc. This division of the company furnishes an assortment of construction services such as demolition, excavation, grading and heavy hauling.
In 2007 we proudly announce yet another expansion of the business with the development of Mitchell Stump Recycling & Mulch Products, LLC. This environmentally conscious segment of the business offers stump grinding, wood waste recycling centers and mulch products.
With almost 90 years of experience, we consider ourselves specialists in many areas and truly believe experience is the backbone of the company.
