Why are you here?
Many people have preconceived notions of what chiropractic is. Some think chiropractic is rough; others may think it’s only good for people with back pain. Most people think that chiropractic fixes bones. In fact, most chiropractors work with the joints to help the nerves heal.
Chiropractic is the branch of the healing arts that deals with spinal misalignments called subluxations. When our vertebrae misalign they put pressure on the spinal cord, spinal nerves or both. You can imagine that this can have a negative effect on how we function. Chiropractors have found that if there is pressure along the spine, irritating and interfering with a nerve, it will affect muscles, joints, blood vessels and even organs and glands. We often don’t recognize that this is the actual problem unless there is pain involved, hence people often refer to chiropractors as “low back pain doctors” or “headache doctors.” The problem is that by the time we are experiencing pain, we have often already been affecting our entire health for quite some time.
When you see your chiropractor, he or she can determine if you have subluxations interfering with how you function. Many people go to a chiropractor to see if they can get relief from back and neck pain and find out that their overall health ends up improving.
At New Branch Chiropractic & Health Center your health is important to us and so are your concerns. We use different techniques so that we may treat all ages and conditions.
