Twigs and Leaves Gallery is located in the heart of historic downtown Waynesville, a charming, small town situated in the mountains of Western North Carolina a few miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and Asheville. Our gallery features nature-related art and fine crafts primarily from Southern Appalachia but includes a select number of American handcrafting artists from other regions, with the works of more than 160 emerging and established artists. The gallery offers pottery and clay art, rustic and finished furniture, locally made jewelry, landscape photographs and paintings as well as quilted wall hangings, stained glass and metal fabrications. Local artists include Kaaren Stoner and Michael Lalone, potters; Jim Shackelford, Jenny Buckner and Jack Stern, oil painters; Wendy Bowen, fabric artist; Bob and Lucy Gibson/Lucid Designs and Kim Thompson, jewelers; Desmond Suarez/Sabbath Day Woods and Bob Grytten, furniture designer/producers. All of this is beautifully displayed in a comfortable setting that encourages leisurely shopping. We hope you will visit us and take home a memory reflecting the breathtaking Smoky Mountains ~ a piece of art that echoes the wonder of nature.
The gallery participates in the Waynesville Gallery Association and the Downtown Waynesville Association events including Art After Dark, International Festival Day, Church Street Art and Craft Show, Apple Harvest Festival, Holiday Open House and A Night before Christmas.
