Bowen Primary & Urgent Care, a division of Apollo HealthCare, PA, was established January 5th, 1998 by Doctor Sam Bowen to help meet the primary care and urgent care needs of northeast Hickory.
The practice is located just off of Spring's Road at 2365 Springs Road North East, Hickory, NC 28601. Bowen Primary & Urgent Care has experienced rapid growth since its first opening. Our clientele enjoy the friendly atmosphere and personal service that they have experienced here. Our motto is Quality Care, Integrity of Service.

Bowen Primary & Urgent Care aims to provide comprehensive medical care to you and your family when you need it.

Our practitioners have been trained to provide care for a wide variety of chronic conditions and illnesses while applying state of the art preventive medicine concepts. This allows you to establish a close relationship with a physician who can attend to a wide variety of medical needs.
Internal Medicine concentrates on primary care for adults, with an emphasis on medical conditions which require close monitoring and increased needs for hospitalization. These conditions include diabetes mellitus as well as diseases of the heart, lungs, kidneys and other internal organs.
Family Practice emphasizes comprehensive care for the entire family, including adults and children.

Urgent care makes prompt medical treatment available to those who may not have a personal physician, and to those whose circumstances make immediate care the right choice rather than waiting for an appointment. Urgent care naturally includes injuries and other acute illnesses, which require prompt treatment.
We strive to have little or no waiting time with high availability of care "after-hours", on weekends and holidays.
As primary care and urgent care providers, we are able to provide a continuum of medical care that is unique. Often we will be able to help you avoid going to the emergency department of the local hospital by being able to assess and treat your medical problems outside of traditional office hours.
