Jen has been scrapbooking since she married her wonderful husband, Mike, in 1997. They live in Northern New Jersey and have 2 children (8 year old Ryan and 6 year old Maya) who are usually the main subject of most of her work.
Based on Jen’s fine art background, her classes as well as her personal work focus on artistic techniques and are alive with color! She has taught scrapbooking and stamping technique classes at stores, crops, large events and conventions all over the US and regularly in Europe and Canada. She has also been a feature instructor on several crafting cruises and taught at events such as CHA, CKU, CKC, Memories Expos, Scrapbook Expo, Bonanza in England, several times at Scrap-A-Ganza in the Netherlands and at ScrapEvent in Sweden. Jen also regularly demos inking and stamping techniques at trade shows such as CHA, SMAC in Paris, Krea Vak in Holland and various Distributor events.
She loves to bring her scrapbooks out of the albums and up on the walls to live with more openly every day. Most importantly, she loves the versatility stamps bring to her work…the creative options have endless possibilities, especially when adding inks and paints!
Jen absolutely loves to teach her students to use their creativity and help them think outside the box. It makes her so happy to be able to share her skills, knowledge and love of the art of scrapbooking and stamping with so many others.

Whether you prefer a vintage style or bright happy colors, Tim Holtz’s Line of Distress products can customize any paper crafting project to the look and color scheme YOU want to achieve.
In this workshop you will create 6 unique 8x8" layouts focusing heavily on technique…you can follow the color selections I’ve used in my samples or use the same techniques in colors of your choice! You will learn how to use Tim Holtz Stamps in artful and unusual ways to create beautiful backgrounds, borders, titles, embellishments and even tint photos. We will use the complete line of Distress Products including inks, re-inkers, crackle paints, stickles, embossing powders with a few of my other favorite goodies mixed in. The goal of this workshop is to teach you all that this line is capable of beyond just inking the edges!
*please bring to class a 12" paper trimmer, scissors, pencil, variety of adhesives and heat gun if you have one

New My Minds Eye papers mixed with a touch of new Distress Inks plus a dash of new Glimmer Mist colors and you have a recipe for a fabulous shabby chic project! In addition, we’ll be playing with new Sizzix dies from Tim Holtz, white Distress Crackle Paint, Sticky Back Canvas, paint, new Prima clear stamps and Calcutta flowers, corrugated cardboard, resist techniques and more! If you love everything pink and brown in a pretty "vintage glam" style then this book is for you! Learn techniques to give anything that shabby chic effect.

If you love everything Tim Holtz then this class is for you! We'll be creating a 6x8" mini-book with a "journey" theme using Some of Tim's greatest products including some of his dies and embossing folders from Sizzix, Idea-ology embellishments, stamps and of course inks! During your journey in class, you'll learn some fun and unique techniques along the way to make this project a one of a kind!
** Please bring a basic tool kit including 12" trimmer, sanding block, ruler, Crop-o-Dile or hole puncher, scissors, pencil and variety of adhesives.

Jen Starr , a fully Certified and Ranger Recognized instructor. She has been the Design Team Coordinator for Ranger Industries and continues to teach and do private design work for them. She enjoys being a Golden Embassador for Tattered Angels, an Endorsed Instructor for Prima and was the Lead Creative Designer for Canvas Concepts. With all this said, you will not want to miss this spectacular day. She will be using all of Tim Holtz's Distressed products and you will learn many different techniques using all his products.
