Having practiced in other parts of the world, and having worked with patients of many different backgrounds, faiths and nationalities, I recognize that there are many different approaches to health care, and that no one model fits every patient. Therefore, I believe strongly that patients have not only the right, but also the obligation, to take responsibility for their own health by participating in making decisions about their own health care.
