Chris started in the lawn maintenance and landscape business 27 years ago with his father. In 1997, Chris had been managing every aspect of the business for seven years, when he offered to buy the company from his father. The deal was settled January 1st, of 1998. Chris and his wife Kristie (the office supervisor) incorporated the business to create the corporation known as Arborescent Gardens, Inc. All clients were retained through this transition.
Since 1998, Arborescent Gardens has expanded into all aspects of lawn and garden care. Twelve years old now, we have 3 full time crews (fencing, construction, lawn maintenance, landscaping, tree farming, etc.) operating about 355 days a year. Our tree farm has expanded into 14 acres of beautifully maintained ornamental trees and shrubs.

Chris keeps his eye on all aspects of Arborescent Gardens business. Chris deals with clients and suppliers on a day to day basis. He stays current on business issues by subscribing to trade magazines and attending seminars and trade classes. In 2001, Chris obtained his N.C. State Landscape Contractors License (#1304, his ornamental and turf pesticide license, and was recently recognized as a N.C. Association of Nurserymen Certified Plant Professional, by vendors and N.C. State.Chris was approved in 2009 by the N.C. Irrigation Contractors Licensing Board to become an Irrigation Contractor.
Chris works with several reputable large land builders in the Charlotte, Huntersville and Rock Hill area; several corporations and several new and loyal household clients. We have a high homeowner client retention rate due to our consistent reliability.
