Our focus is to improve speech, language, and communication skills. Our bias is to incorporate therapy within a play environment, with attention to the developmental milestones that match each stage of a child's development. Therapy is geared to facilitate and encourage children and their families to attain targeted goals in a playful setting. Therapy is child-centered and family-friendly, embracing a developmental approach.
Innovative offers individual therapy, evaluations, and some language groups, working to improve receptive, expressive, pragmatic, articulation, and overall communication (verbal and non-verbal) skills.
Receptive Language - language understanding
Expressive Language - primarily spoken language - looking at language structure, syntax, vocabulary and content
Pragmatic Language - Effective functional communication (verbal and non-verbal), often within social contexts
Articulation - Speech sound production, speech sound sequencing, phonological processing
Oral-Motor skills - addressing and improving the oral-muscle strength and range of movement, especially in relationship to speech sound production
