LifeWorks was founded by D. Scott Cutting, PhD, in 1977. Dr. Cutting sold the practice then located at 401 S Green Street in Morganton to Grace Hospital in February 1999. The practice was sold again in March 2002 to the partnership of Jay Bevis, LPA and Martha Britt, PhD, LCSW. The office was relocated to 123 North Sterling Street until 2005 at which time the practice was moved to 205 East Union Street in Morganton. LifeWorks was incorporated in July 2007 and remains at the East Union Street location today.
