FACULTY AND CURRICULUM
The experienced faculty offers classes for three-year kindergarten through high school. Except fourth grade North Carolina history, all subjects are taught from texts supplied by Bob Jones University Press or ABeka Publishing. Computer classes are required for all students in kindergarten through high school. Since the yearbook production is primarily a computerized process which involves the seventh and eighth grades, these students are able to gain extra computer skills in its production. Other subjects of interest include art, music, Spanish and occasionally other electives. The high school offers a solid, well-rounded education meeting all the requirements set forth by the North Carolina Universities for college-bound students: 4 credits of English, 2 credits of foreign language, 4 units of math, 3 credits of science, 3 credits of history, 1 credit of health/P.E, 3 credits of electives. C.B.S. graduates are also required to have a credit per year of Bible.
Community Baptist School is an active member of the American Association of Christian Schools and the North Carolina Christian School Association.

Monthly fire drills are adhered to as well as seasonal tornado drills. A close bond exists between the local law enforcement agencies (Reidsville Police Department and Rockingham County Sheriff’s Department) which adds an extra measure of security for C.B.S. students. Other measures have also been implemented on campus to further insure student safety.
Students enjoy a variety of competitive sports with other schools of similar grades. Sports offered include volleyball, soccer, basketball, softball, golf, cheerleading and Little Conquerors’ Intramural Basketball for third through fifth grade. Conqueror fever runs high at C.B.S.!
EIGHTH GRADE HIGHLIGHT
The highlight of the year for the eighth grade is their annual trip to Washington, D.C. which is hosted in part by the current district Congressman. The May trip provides a great opportunity for the classmates and adult chaperones to spend time together before their high school promotion.
