The proof is in the pictures! Just go to GALLERY! The 4th Annual Corolla Surf Shop LONGBOARD INVITATIONAL drew long boarders from Corolla and the Outer Banks. The contest surf was unusually high with chest to head high waves, and Corolla’s sandbars helped to make the surf conditions more short board friendly than longboardable.

The Final Heat was battle and had the audience on their feet and hollering. It featured a friendly family feud the 3 Musika boys - Bradley, Tanner, and their dad, Thomas aka “Zeke” - pitted against each other and the 3 other finalists: Jason Brickhouse, CSS Manager and Surf Instructo; Greg Sherman, CSS Team Captain; and John Barnes, CSS Team Rider and 2008’s 1st Place winner.

When the 20 minute Final Heat ended, Bradley Musika’s monster floaters landed him in 1st place. Close behind by one point was John Barnes in 2nd place, with multiple cover-ups; Jason Brickhouse came in 3rd with some dramatic floaters of his own; Tanner Musika got 4th; Greg Sherman got 5th; and ‘Dad’ Thomas Musika landed 6th.

This was our 4th Annual Longboard Invitational, and Corolla Surf Shop wants to thank the following people for making this one the BEST so far:

- Maddy Musika, for an excellent job of manning the “Heat Horn”;
- And thanks to EVERYONE who helped leave the beach cleaner than we found it.

Corolla Surf Shop is now a dealer for the most innovative body boards I have ever seen! Wave Skater is the 1st body board that that is made in one piece. We will be renting and selling this new body board. The ability of this board to float an adult is unbelievable. If you are tired of body boards breaking and splitting, Wave Skater might be the answer.

Recently Corolla Surf Shop served as the backdrop and foundation for a TV Pilot currently in Post-Production.The project was produced by John Meindl of SPORTSBRANDEDMEDIA and Jeanne-Marie DeStefano, Director of the Corolla Surf Shop Surf School.
