Pure Wellness provides Endovenous Laser Therapy (EVLT), a minimally invasive procedure in which patients are able to return to work immediately after treatment. During an EVLT procedure, a small laser heats the effected vein from the inside, causing it to collapse so that blood can no longer flow through it. The vein will eventually be absorbed into the body and disappear. Prior to the treatment, you will be given a local anesthetic to assist with any discomfort. Minor soreness and bruising may occur afterwards, but you will have immediate relief from varicose vein symptoms.
Spider veins are small, branch-like veins which are usually blue, purple or red in color. Spider veins may appear anywhere on the body but are generally found on the legs and face. For the most part, these veins do not cause medical problems or pain, they are simply a cosmetic concern. A sclerotherapy procedure involves injecting a sclerosing solution into the affected vein, causing it to collapse and disappear. No anesthesia is needed; a numbing solution may be used to prevent discomfort. Each sclerotherapy session lasts less than an hour and usually two sessions are required to achieve the best results.
