Dr. Jerry Langdon opened Six Forks Animal Hospital in North Raleigh on December 15, 1967. For the first nine years, the hospital was housed in the custom-designed 60' x 12' mobile home shown below. All hospital procedures were performed in this building.
To meet the changing needs of the hospital, a new building was constructed on the same property directly behind the mobile home. On October 26, 1976, the hospital moved from the mobile home into the building we use today.
More than thirty years since it began, our practice continues under the direction of three of Raleigh's finest veterinarians. Dr. Stephen P. Sullivan became an associate vet in September 1980, and purchased the practice in January 1982. Dr. Glenn M. Driscoll joined the practice as an associate in 1991, and.became a partner in January 1994. In 2001, Dr. Jackie Price joined the practice.
A plaque honoring our founder hangs near the reception area serving as a daily reminder and inspiration to continue Dr. Langdon's dream of providing quality veterinarian care to the beloved pets of the people in our community.
