For all your questions and answers which require fast answers…
Posted on November 1, 2010 by gregmyersphotography

Please either call us directly at 919-836-2222 or email us at sales@peacecamera.com. We do not usually respond to the questions posted on here as often as we like and we get many questions that are either time sensitive or require more in depth answers.
But for simple questions or comments that do not need immediate response, still feel free to post questions here.

Just because i call you odd balls does not mean we do not like you. Just wanted to grab your attention. So here recently we have had several requests on how to connect a mike to the hot shoe of your DSLR’s. Problem solved. Two Parts are needed!
Part 1: a Male locking Flash Shoe with 1/4×20 thread.
Part2: a small ball head.
We have several options for you here. We will be more than happy to set you up something nice.

Plenty of 220, 120 and 135 expired film for all those that need to Shoot film on a budget.

Since Steve is really talkative all the time, you all are more that welcome to come in and ask all the questions you have about Coastal NC Fishing and the dog breed of Puli’s. Oh and he also requests his favorite candy, Salt Water Taffy.
Now for camera stuff:
Just in is a huge shipment of all the great Think Tanks Photo Bags. The New Retrospective is my favorite, but also the new sling-o-matic they make is quite clever too.
4 Lucky people just received their new Nikon D7000. Now these cameras are wicked cool, but very hard to get a good number of in stock. So for those wanting to get one, come on in and put your name on the list. To better your chances of getting one before others pre pay for it. You will not be dissapointed. Greg and my self (Shelley) have shot with it. Greg likes how wonderful the Higher ISO’s are for portraits and Some Fashion stuff. I like it for the Dual slots, Magnesium Body, Weather Sealing, Higher ISO Performance and how wonderful the grip feels. My pics from the Last Game of the Carolina Railhawks season will be on my flickr site.
thanks so much to the wonderful lady that drought us fresh baked chocolate chip and caramel cookies. They were great.
More to come later!

November 25th is Thanksgiving, so we all have plenty of time off that day to indulge our selves on yummy goodness. November 26th(Black Friday) is not the day to come in and kick the tires. It is not the day to come in and just get an idea of what is out there and lolly gag around. November 26th is buying day. You run the chance of getting heckled and getting us all very very upset. November 22nd through the 24th are way better days to come in and ask us all the questions your minds can come up with. Make it a game if you will. We will update this site with all the really cool toys, to make it easier for you to make your choices for black friday.

New 70-300 VC Tamron Lenses for Canon NOW IN STOCK :)
Posted on November 4, 2010 by gregmyersphotography

We finally started receiving the new award-winning 70-300 VC (Vibration Compensation) USD (Ultra Sonic Drive) lenses from Tamron this week for Canon mount. We have been selling the Nikon mount for the past two months, and we love love love them. They are very powerful, sharp, and with their new ultrasonic drive, they focus faster than any Tamron lens we have ever used. Plus, they have Tamron’s amazing image stabilization technology which they call “vibration compensation”.
Not to mention, their XLD glass (Extra Low Dispersion) offers some of the sharpest results tested. All of these factors are why it was awarded Best Zoom Lens of 2010-2011.
For more information on the lenses and to learn about the various Rebates offered, feel free to contact us here at the store.

First off, when Greg asks for donuts, please bring him a veggie tray, he loves those too! The bad news of the day is that both the Hasselblad H1 and the CFV Digital back we had are gone.(On to your new homes!) Good news is that we are soon coming up on Day light savings, so we all will have more opportunity to practice our low light and night photography. So just to let you all know, we do have several options in the f/1.4-2.8 flavor. Something for every ones budget. For the best pics in lower light levels, you do need a tripod. You may ask your self what is cooler than a tripod? That is simple silly! A Carbon Fiber Tripod! We have several to choose from, but be prepared to drop some bread and honey!
LETS MAKE AN AMENDMENT TO THIS POST -
First off, this is Greg typing, bring donuts not veggie trays. Shelley made that last post, so you can bring his sorry ass dirt, dust, and flea powder for all I care. But the donut campaign was the brainchild of me, and until I say so, donuts, cookies, candy bars are what we like. As for Steve and Geof, since they are on their healthy kick, feel free to bring them healthy stuff. But for everyone else, unhealthy is where its at.
However, yesterday, someone bought us lunch (pizza from Mellow Mushroom), and might I say, may god bless you, to that customer. And thank you for the junkfood lovin’, especially the new pizza lovin’.
So to wrap up,

Ever thought to your self that it sure would be nice to see my Digital cameras screen while you were shooting in Noon Day Sun? Well todays product is the Hoodman 3.0 hoodman loupe. A wonderful piece every one should have in their kit. All you do is place the loupe iver the cameras LCD and it blocks out the suns light so you can see your wonderful pic you just captured. It is magnified just a bit too. This little buggar is just $79.00. But what $79 bucks ensures is that you get the shot, cause now you can see it!
