Tolnitch Surgical associates is the first breast dedicated surgical practice in Raleigh and has been caring for women in the Triangle since 1991. We are the Triangle's most experienced breast surgical practice and our physicians were among the first in the country to receive the Masters of Breast Surgery certification. The physician and staff of Tolnitch Surgical Associates are dedicated to providing personal, comprehensive, state-of-the-art surgical care to women with breast cancer as well as those with benign breast disease. Studies show that patients being cared for by surgeons specializing only in breast cancer have a high survival rate.
We offer a full range of services including annual breast exams to minimally invasive procedures done in our office. These services include digital mammography and ultrasound done in collaboration with radiology. As well as biopsies performed under either mammogram (stereotatic) or ultrasound guidance. This allows us to provide our patients a prompt diagnosis in a comfortable office setting.
Our physicians have extensive training and experience in all advanced breast cancer treatment modalities including breast conservation procedures and sentinel node biopsy, as well as being the most experienced surgical practice in Mammosite radiation (accelerated partial breast radiation). In addition, our physicians participate in semimonthly in office multidisciplinary conferencing with both radiology and pathology physicians. This combination of services and expertise make Tolnitch Surgical Associates, P.A. the premier breast care practice in the Triangle and we look forward to serving you.
