How are we different from traditional publishers?
Ivy House welcomes unsolicited manuscripts of all genres by all writers. If you have ever tried to publish your book with a traditional royalty book publisher, you know that it is next to impossible to have your work even looked at. Most unsolicited manuscripts end up in a waste pile. The elite few who do secure a contract must accept the loss of creative control over their work.
These publishers ultimately decide what the design will look like and dictate what the dust jacket will say. They decide what character and story revisions you, the author, must make. After all of the fuss, your book is, in essence, no longer your vision and the copyright isn't even in your name!
At Ivy House, our authors maintain all rights and full creative control over their work, and have the final say on content and design--right down to the level of editing. Why wouldn't you choose a publisher who allows you to own ALL rights to YOUR work?
How are we different from other Print-On-Demand & Subsidy Publishers?
At Ivy House, we do not offer cookie-cutter packages. Instead, we listen to your goals and tailor publishing packages to fit your needs and budget. Our full-service publishing package offers a level of personal involvement and marketing services that go above and beyond other print-on-demand and subsidy publishers. And the best part? Since you own all of your books, you receive 100% net royalties on all copies sold!
Besides offering few choices, especially in marketing assistance, many other print-on-demand and subsidy publishers provide you with a limited number of books, say 10, and require you to purchase additional copies of your own book, on top of the publishing fee you have already paid! Worse yet, you may only receive a portion of the royalties.
We love what we do at Ivy House and our quality shines through to make us the best in book publishing!
