Bright Audiology was established in Sanford, North Carolina in 1996, by Dr. Angela Bright Pearson, Audiologist/Speech Pathologist. Although we originally provided both hearing and speech services to Sanford and surrounding counties, Dr. Bright Pearson began focusing exclusively on hearing rehabilitation in 2006. Bright Audiology is now an outpatient hearing rehabilitation center, that has thrived through the support of local physicians and patient referrals.
We are unique in that we address four aspects in our hearing rehabilitation program:
1) Physical hearing ability (amount of hearing loss);
2) Auditory perception (brains ability to use auditory information);
3) Psychological/social effects of hearing loss on the individuals with hearing loss and his/her family/friends;
4) Environmental impact (how the individual with hearing loss interacts with his/her environment)

Our mission is to care for the patient & family as a whole by offering "Complete Hearing Healthcare"- a comprehensive hearing rehabilitation program. This program shall address the following important components:

A thorough evaluation of how one physically hears and how his/her brain processes speech

An evaluation of how they perform with specific hearing devices in a "real life environment" so that the most appropriate devices can be chosen for them

Fitting of the devices with equipment that verifies accurate performance of devices before and during their fitting

Auditory therapy to assist the individual with recognizing and understanding speech

Group counseling for the individual & their family members on the hidden impact of hearing loss & successful coping strategies

"Care for Life"- our exclusive program that includes cleaning, maintenance, & batteries for the life of their hearing devices
