Founded in 1995 by Jamie Smith and Stefan van Staveren, Xylem Inc is backed with 12 years of industry experience. Xylem started as a hobby and a necessity for two handy college students. Building furniture to place in our dorms seemed to be the best way to have a place for the TV and stereo equipment. Soon it was coffee and end tables. After bartending for 4 years we learned the ins and outs of building bars and soon started designing and building them for local restaurants. The next logical step was to continue our studies in the kitchen. Designing and building custom kitchen cabinets is now our forte.
At Xylem Incorporated, we take advantage of the unique characteristics of wood, glass, metal and stone to create truly custom furniture and cabinetry for your home or place of business. From kitchens to bars to offices, we transform ideas and space into striking form and function.

Xylem Inc provides top-notch design consulting for most any type of furniture or cabinets. We blend old world craftsmanship with cutting-edge techniques to custom tailor our design and building process. We also deliver and fully install our work, seeing a job through from beginning to end.

What is Xylem?
Xylem is the vascular tissue of trees that provides support and transports water and minerals upward from the roots. The layering of xylem from year to year produces annual growth rings in trees resulting in the unique grain and individual characteristics of each type of wood.
