Welcome to Green Pines Baptist Church
I do hope that you get to know the ordinary people that make up the community we call Green Pines Baptist. Even more, I greatly desire you to know the extraordinary God that we serve. You see, church is not for all the people who have their life in order and perfect. In fact, its the exact opposite, we are constantly frustrated by the difference between who we are and who we want to be. We have come to realize that there is a God who sees us as we are and grants to us His love and forgiveness. This realization is all the more amazing since God is the origin of all that is right, good, and beautiful.
When a person learns this truth, they want to celebrate it and share with others. God grants to the individual whole new desires and abilities to do His work, wherever they are located. These are magnetic desires and draw people together to worship Jesus, by whom we know God. This is how Green Pines started and how it continues to thrive.
We believe that this church began in the heart of God before it started here in Knightdale. This area of the world needs to experience the character of God and thats where the church gets used. God chooses us with all of our quirks and faults to display His love, joy, peace, and kindness. This job is too big for us individually so we need each others support and abilities to accomplish Gods task.
I hope that you see an area where you can be a part of us to serve an extraordinary God in this place called east Raleigh. Perhaps, God will put in your heart a whole new way to glorify Him.
