Holy Trinity Episcopal Church is a vibrant and growing Christian community located in the Haymount area of Fayetteville. We are a mainstream Episcopal Church, emphasizing good worship, strong fellowship, and service to others. “Come in to worship; Go out to serve” has been our guiding theology since the parish was founded in 1951. There is a place for you here.

Additional services are held during Lent and Holy Week.
We also celebrate the Holy Eucharist at 10:30 a.m. on Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day

Today we will offer to God our stewardship pledges for 2011. Your completed pledge card can be placed in the offertory plate.

If you didn’t receive a stewardship packet in the mail, there are additional packets in the Narthex. There are also extra pledge cards and envelopes.

Your Vestry appreciates the prompt return of these cards so we can draw up our parish budget for 2011.

Coffee Hour after the 10:30 a.m. service will be hosted by Beth Early, Amy St. Peter and Sylvia Saint-Amand. Please join them for a cup of Bishops Blend coffee or lemonade and cookies.

Classes for children meet at 9:15 a.m. in the Sunday School classrooms. Older youth will meet upstairs in the Office Building.

Today we will continue a two-session unit focusing on our military families, their needs, available resources, and what you might do to help. David Sullivan, Linda Braswell, and Martha Brown will be facilitating these sessions. David and Linda are social workers who work on a contract basis with the Department of Defense as confidential counselors; Martha Brown is the director of the Soldier and Family Assistance Center, set up to work exclusively with the Warrior Transition Battalion. The Adult Forum meets in the Parish Hall at 9:20 a.m.

All ladies are cordially invited to the ECW meeting today, November 14th at 4:00pm in the Parish Hall. We all have so much to talk about - and that is just during our social time!

We have plans for the upcoming Alternative Gift fair for next Sunday, our ongoing projects, and our Christmas project for our homebound parishioners. Do come and be a part of this fun group.

Articles for the December issue of the Good Newsletter are due in the office by Monday, November 15th. You can bring your items by the church or email them to admin@holytrinityfay.org

Thanks to each and every one of you who offer food and fellowship to the IHN guests when we partner with St. John’s. And thanks to all who have volunteered to help with the IHN Appreciation Dinner.

The Vestry will meet on Thursday, November 18th at 7:00 p.m. Members please check your boxes for copies of the agenda, minutes and Treasurer’s Report.

The ALTAR GUILD ANNUAL MEETING is scheduled for next Sunday, November 21st immediately following the 10:30 service. All Altar Guild members please plan to attend. We will be planning for Thanksgiving, Advent and Christmas.

ALTERNATIVE CHRISTMAS MARKET – NOVEMBER 21
What do you give the person who has everything they need…and some things they don’t need? How about a gift that gives the giver and the recipient a warm and happy feeling? A gift that helps a needy someone who is far away or here in our community.

At the Alternative Christmas Market between the services on November 21st, you can select a worthy cause and make a purchase in honor of a friend or family member. You’ll receive a card or memento you can give to your loved one which lets them know of your purchase on their behalf.

Join with congregants from Beth Israel Synagogue, St. James’ Lutheran Church, First Christian Church/Disciples of Christ, and Holy Trinity for our annual Inter-faith Thanksgiving Service. Our host this year is First Christian/Disciples of Christ, 1505 Fort Bragg Road. The offering will be given to Fayetteville Urban Ministries, and a reception will follow the service.

A service of Holy Eucharist will be celebrated at Holy Trinity on Thanksgiving Day, November 25 at 10:30 a.m. Consider beginning your holiday celebrations by giving thanks to God (that’s what the Greek “eucharist” means – thanksgiving).

To all the generous people of Holy Trinity
The ECW of Holy Trinity is participating in a project for the Episcopal Farmworkers Ministry in Newton Grove. We are filling "Shower bags" full of toiletries for the workers and others in that community who need them. If you would like to help, a box will be in the narthex for your donations. The "Shower bags" will be filled with: 16oz. shampoo; 3oz. deodorant; toothbrush (individually packaged, please); toothpaste; bars of soap; 11oz shaving cream; 12 pack razors; combs; and washcloths. Thank you!

Annual Reports Due
Annual reports of activities and ministries are due by Monday, November 22nd. You can bring them by the office or email them to admin@holytrinityfay.org

How about our Diocese!
The Diocese of East Carolina Executive Council and Trustees want to know what you think about the state of our diocese and what advice you have for pursuing its goals.
Cargill Associates, a national consulting firm, is conducting an online survey - the best possible way to gather anonymous responses - and we'd like for you to participate.
We need your counsel. Please add your thoughts and share your opinion as we lay plans for an exciting future. Please take a few minutes to read the Case for Support brochure prior to completing the Survey. The brochure and survey may be found at http://guest.cvent.com/d/5dq53g.” There is also a link to the survey on our website at www.diocese-eastcarolina.org. Thank you in advance for your participation.
