Beach House Inn is located on Pleasure Island in the town of Carolina Beach, just south of Wilmington in southeast North Carolina . The Island consists of three distinct communities: Carolina Beach, which is located on the north end, Kure Beach in the middle, and Historic Fort Fisher on the south end. Our area is a great place to come relax and enjoy the charm and slow pace of the beach.
We are convenient to fishing charters, cruises, golf, mini-golf, a family fun park and family restaurants. Also enjoy year-round fishing from the beach, or from two nearby fishing piers. The kids will enjoy the North Carolina Aquarium. If history is your thing Fort Fisher is to our south and also check out historic downtown Wilmington and the USS North Carolina.

Oct. 9th and 10th-----------17th Annual Seafood, Blues and Jazz Festival
This two-day festival takes place along the scenic Cape Fear River at the Fort Fisher Military Recreational Area in Kure beach. Enjoy browsing at the Fine Arts Plaza, shopping for crafts, listening to music, and fine wine tasting. Children will stay entertained for hours as they enjoy magicians, juggling acts, clowns and much more in the Kidz Zone.

October 9th-------------Farmers Market and Art Show.
First Saturday, 8:00am to 1:00pm, October 9th we provide both residents and visitors with a variety of local, farm fresh seasonal vegetables and fruits, wine, NC peanut products, homemade baked goods, garden plants and herbs, fresh eggs, organic berries, free range meats, sauces and spices, hand made soaps and candles, unique arts and crafts, cooking demonstrations from local chefs and music for your enjoyment from local musicians.

October 28th-November 6th-------------Cape Fear Fair and Expo
Get out your appetite for candied apples, livestock shows and fast rides. It's time for the Cape Fear Fair & Expo at the Wilmington International Airport.

Offered every Thursday evening starting May 28th. Stroll down to the boardwalk area or walk out to the beach to view the fireworks. Live music starts at 6pm at the Gazebo and the Fireworks show begins at 9pm. Day may vary with Holidays.
(Independence Day Fireworks Will Be Held On July 3rd in Carolina Beach.)

Free Summer Movies at the Lake Have Ended For The Year
Offered every Sunday evening starting May 30th. Bring the family and a blanket or folding chair and enjoy a movie under the stars. Shows start at dusk (around 8:45pm).

North Carolina requires a license to fish in coastal waters. Anyone over the age of 16 is required to purchase a CFRL, however if you already have a lifetime freshwater license you do not have to purchase the new coastal waters license. You also do not need to purchase the new license if you are fishing from a pier or charter boat.
