When I opened my practice in 1995, my intent was to provide excellent care, a goal that has expanded in the last decade. Now my approach is more holistic, mostly because I realize the need to include different services not provided by the larger medical community. The body has the ability to heal itself and health is dependent on many factors including nutrition, exercise, lifestyle, and stress.
Chiropractic care is based on the spine and its connection to other parts of the body. A chiropractic adjustment is a hands-on procedure that manipulates the joints of the body to relieve pain and restore normal function. Several adjustments are often necessary in order to fully treat the affected areas. Chiropractic adjustments combined with acupuncture is very effective treatment.
I was born in southeastern Michigan, one of 12 children. Raised on the waterfront, at an early age I learned to swim (out of necessity) and fish for fun. Along with the academic pursuits of college, I played Rugby and learned firsthand the abuse an athlete’s body can take and how long it can take to heal.
I live in Wilmington with my wife Katie and our two children. Katie and I first met when we were teenagers living in the same small town in Michigan. Katie holds a Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy and works at NHRMC. She is mother to our children and provides balance for our family. Our children typify the spirit and exuberance of childhood; we consider ourselves blessed with the joy and adventures they give us. They are both active in soccer and I participate as their coach.
In my spare time I especially enjoy fishing. It provides a quiet respite and a sublime challenge that helps me retain an appropriate perspective in dealing with life’s tribulations. All seems trivial when you have both love and health.
