Those who wait upon the LORD shall renew (exchange) their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run and not be weary. They shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31) Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1)
Welcome to Christ Life Ministries Website
The mission statement of Christ Life Ministries is "Making Biblical Disciplers: Equipping Christians to Share Christ as Life." We minister through individual discipling (pastoral counseling) and small-group training. Our office is in the western North Carolina mountains, with a satellite in upstate South Carolina.
Christ Life Ministries is a non-denominational, non-profit ministry called by God in 1990 to minister hope of Christ's eternally present life (Colossians 1:27). We minister primarily through group training sessions (the Grace Life Conference and the Grace Life Workshop) and individual discipling sessions. Our passion is to support the church by encouraging Christians to experience Christ as their true hope (1 Timothy 1:1) and to minister Christ's life to others in the body of Christ. We love to support local pastors and congregations, while focusing on foundational issues and not denominational issues.
The staff of Christ Life Ministries raise their own salaries as home missionaries. This means that 100% of the donations and of proceeds from discipling and training to Christ Life Ministries goes to ministry expenses and enhancements.
The foundation of God's ministry at Christ Life Ministries is Jesus Christ! He is the one and only true foundation (1 Corinthians 3:11).
The focus in discipling is presenting JESUS CHRIST AS THE ANSWER, regardless of the manifesting problem (depression, anxiety, abuse, anger, marital problems, etc). Any hindrance in the Christian's relationship with Christ is a hinderance in his or her functioning in life and in ministering to others.
God's solution through the cross is to give Christ's blood to cleanse us from sin AND to give us Christ's very Life to free us to be who God re-creates us to be in His dear Son. Christ's life frees us from the tyranny of the flesh, which is the lie of self-sufficiency programmed into every person beginning at birth through the fallen world system.
A foundation Scripture is Galatians 2:20, "I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in this body, I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me."
Through the staff of Christ Life Ministries, Christ tenderly ministers to people by revealing the root problem that hinders their full expression of life. Christ tenderly relates to each person to his or her unique journey to experience God's solution.
The process is God lovingly exposes how the person is programmed into striving through his or her flesh (the lie of self-sufficiency) to get their God-given needs of love and acceptance met through the fallen world system, rather than from God Himself. God relates to His child by revealing how the cross is the final solution...how the flesh has been crucified...and how the real person has already been resurrected in Christ! God lovingly leads His child through the process of surrendering his or her attempts to control love and acceptance.
Through this process of brokenness, the child of God is given the eyes of faith to see Christ in His glory living in and through his or her life. The child of God sees the futility of the flesh and the vibrancy of his or her new identity in the living Christ! The staff of Christ Life Ministries come along side each person, just as Christ does, to walk along side the person through this process.
1 Peter 4:12-13 describes the process of brokenness, "Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you. But rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when His glory (presence of God) is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy."
