Emery Paving Company has been the premier chip seal paving contractor in Western North Carolina for over 50 years.
We have paved in over 250 subdivisions throughout North Carolina and upstate South Carolina and we are the only paving contractor in our area to exclusively specialize in all aspects of chip seal paving.
Along with our paving, we also manufacture asphalt emulsion at our state approved terminal in Arden, NC.
All of this is done with the utmost regard for protecting the environment. With the environment in mind, we pride ourselves in being part of the solution towards cleaner air and reclamation of our natural resources used in our operations.
Chip-Seal refers to a method whereby liquid asphalt is heated and sprayed on a well prepared base or existing roadway. Gravel or crushed stone is spread over the asphalt, thus giving a durable, great looking wearing surface.
Chip-Seal is the primary road maintenance tool of almost every county in the state, as well as for the N.C.D.O.T. statewide. A chip seal not only seals and rejuvenates the surface, but also gives better skid resistance than an overlay.
