This Fenton Burmese Ruffled Basket was manufactured by the Fenton Art Glass Company. It is unsigned but has the original Fenton label on the base which is the black & gold worker label with rounded edges (c.1970-1985). The soft rose colored ruffles gradually blend into a beautiful pale yellow. It is hand painted with delicate leaves. The leaf decorated Burmese was introduced into the Fenton line in 1970. There were a total of nine different pieces made. Production of the pattern was discontinued at the end of 1972. The glass has a soft satin finish. The handle is applied. The following measurements are approximate: 5 3/8 (across top), 3 1/4 (base diameter) and 7 (height). This Fenton Burmese Basket shows normal wear due to age including a few small surface scratches. There are no chips, cracks or fractures. I have not attempted to clean this basket. Overall this piece is deemed to be in Excellent Condition!
