Dear Members and Friends,
It is as exciting as it has ever been to be a part of the Parkview church family and a part of what God is doing in His church. I feel privileged and blessed to continue on our mutual journey with you in seeing God bring to pass the vision He has planted within each of our hearts to see lives mended, restored and brought to God. We are a blessed people to have the Spirit of God continually move in our midst working in the hearts of His people and to have choice staff and laity to work together to accomplish the work of the Lord.
Jeremiah 17: 7 & 8 states: Blessed is the man who trust in the Lord and whose hope is in the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes, but its leaf will be green and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit. I am reminded that as a church family we can stand firm on the fact that our hope is in the Lord. He is in control of all our circumstances and can not fail. With this great hope we have a message for the wounded and brokenhearted of this world for we are that tree planted by the waters, with our roots running deep in our Lord, being nurtured by Him when the heat comes, flourishing in the Lord not being anxious or fearful for anything, sustained by His living waters, able to yield our fruit as we share this glorious good news of the gospel.
The mission of the church and our vision for the church remains the same. Our vision for the church is to once again seek the throne of God for a mighty outpouring of the genuine Holy Ghost power that will continue to enable our church to be a sanctuary where people from every walk of life can find salvation for their soul, a refuge from the storm, a harbor of peace and safety, a place where brokenness can be turned into blessings. We want to be a church where people who find this blessed hope can continue to grow and become a part of our church family and with this new life in Christ worship with us as we become a house of praise with gratitude and thankfulness in our hearts.
As a church family we want everyone young and old alike to discover their place in this ministry and Gods plan that He has for all of us. For Jeremiah 29:11 tells us For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. God has the plan and He has given His church a future and a hope to bless others. Let us work together to have different ministries that reach out to people at different levels. May every aspect of our ministry be geared in one way or another toward helping people at various stages of the Christian journey to become healthy reproductive disciples of Christ. Let us support each other as a caring church family as we share in joys and sorrows, laughter and tears, but most of all let us share this promise of hope and a future as we minister together utilizing our gifts, abilities, and energies to bless others.
As we move forward together with the kingdom work may we continually be reminded of Gods wonderful love to each of us. And may we never forget the importance of loving one another.
