A+ Tutoring is an independent, academic tutoring and coaching practice serving the Triad area of North Carolina. All sessions are one-on-one and conducted in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Flexible hours make it easier for you to find the tutoring time best suited to your needs.

The quality of the tutor.
Rick Fisher has a master's degree in elementary education, as well as a second master's in computer science. He is a veteran of the public schools, and is experienced at teaching all ages, and most subjects, from early reading through upper level mathematics. He is the only tutor you or your child will get at A+ Tutoringno substitutions, no "temporary" hires.

No expensive up-front payments.
Some places charge up to a few hundred dollars for their much-touted "evaluation testing." In other words, they get your money even if you decide, in the end, not to go to them for tutoring. At A+ Tutoring the first half-hour consultation session is free. Expensive testing is never required.

Some places put your child into small groups for learning. At A+ Tutoring, for the same price, you get individualized instruction. That, by the way, is the reason no expensive evaluation testing is necessary: Any one-on-one tutor who can't tell where a student is in their understanding after a few sessions shouldn't be in the business.

It is not part of a chain. No bureaucratic requirements are handed down from upper management. We are totally free to adjust our approach to whatever is needed for each individual student.
