If you suffer from any of the following head and neck pains, then Triad Pain Busters can help you!
You are not alone
Millions of people suffer from these conditions of the head and neck. They have difficulty finding a specialist who can assist them, so they go untreated or are treated unsuccessfully. Many of our patients have seen numerous medical specialists and have been prescribed a vast array of medications over the years.
We listen carefully
A majority of these people dont get relief from their symptoms, experience adverse side effects from their medications, and are disgusted with bouncing from one practitioner to another. Have you ever felt that if your doctor would just spend the time to listen to your complaints than he or she would have a better chance of helping you? This is one of the big problems in medicine today. How much time does your doctor really spend learning about you?
We take our time listening to what is bothering you. Often times with a thorough discussion regarding your pain, we can gather enough information to put together a preliminary diagnosis of your condition. We gather as much information as you can supply to us before ever performing our comprehensive evaluation.
Then, we make a thorough examination
Once we have thoroughly gathered a history of your conditions, we perform a comprehensive evaluation using many techniques, including the following:
After all of the information has been gathered and evaluations have been performed, the doctor can then formulate a diagnosis and a plan of action to treat your condition.
we don't mask the pain
Once we create a treatment plan specifically for your signs and symptoms, treatment therapy can begin. We offer state-of-the-art electro-therapeutic neuromuscular point stimulation. This is a safe, non-invasive therapy applying concentrated, low-frequency stimulation to acupuncture points, motor/trigger points, and contracted motor bands. Applying this type of stimulation to a unique combination of points often gives immediate pain relief, improves muscle tone, and accelerates tissue repair.
We also can custom-fit a neuromuscular orthotic appliance called the NTI-tss, which stands for Nociceptive Trigeminal Inhibition - Tension Suppression System. This intraoral device (used at night while sleeping) protects your teeth from the abuse of clenching and grinding, and decreases muscle contraction of the jaw-closing muscles by an average of 70%. Not only will it decrease muscular symptoms, but it will also decrease stress and strain on the TMJ (temporomandibular joint) therefore decreasing joint dysfunction. The NTI-tss is the only FDA-approved device for prophylactic treatment of migraine. In clinical trials reviewed by the FDA, 82% of medically diagnosed migraine sufferers had a 77% average reduction of migraine pain attacks within the first eight weeks of use.
These two methods of treatment (sometimes combined with myofascial and trigger point release, therapeutic exercises, and ergonomic coaching) are able to substantially reduce, if not alleviate, your aches and pains. Our approach differs from others, simply because we are not trying to mask the problems with medications. We are treating the contracted and overused muscles to get them to release back to their normal muscle tone. In addition, we take steps to prevent further problems by controlling excessive, harmful muscular activity.
We see it as part of our job to not only relieve your pain, but to also figure out why the pain is there in the first place. If we believe your pain is muscular-related, then we must figure out what you are doing that is causing abuse and overuse of the muscles. These are often issues with postural static positioning or repetitive motion. We can have long-term success treating your pain only when we address and correct these issues.
