Landmasters/Phil Darnell Realty is an independently-owned company in northwestern North Carolina. We are conveniently located centrally in Ashe County in the small town of Jefferson, and are members of the Ashe County Board of Realtors. Our office serves the counties of Ashe, Watauga, and Alleghany, as well as the neighboring Virginia highlands.
Because of our membership in the local Multiple Listing Service, we can sell or show any property that is listed in our area. Our specialties include scenic properties and acreage. Our office is not so large that we lose track of our listings like some companies. We can also represent you as a Buyer's Agent. Let us help you find your dream property!
ABOUT OUR AREA
Ashe County has long been referred to as the "Lost Province" of North Carolina; its remote location in the northwest corner of the state, sheltered in the ancient Blue Ridge Mountains, kept its scenic mountain ridges and placid river valleys largely unspoiled. Cattle farms were common in the area in the past, but are increasingly giving way to Christmas tree farms and retirement neighborhoods. West Jefferson is experiencing a rebirth, with an active arts community creating an exciting atmosphere in the town.

Phil Darnell has been a licensed broker for over thirty years and is very familiar with property in our area, having spent many years exploring the mountain ridges and "hollers" as he was growing up fishing and hunting. Phil graduated from Appalachian State University.
Martin Little has been with Landmasters since 2001. Also a native of Ashe County, Martin is a former professional baseball player. He has also appeared on T.V. and in movies, and owns his own fitness center.
Pam Jason has been with Landmasters since 2005. She was a teacher for 35 years and has lived in Ashe County for 20 years. She enjoys camping and fishing along the Blue Ridge Pkwy.
