Established in 1954 by R. M. Whitmire Jr., Whitmire Monument Company has provided generations of families in Asheville and all of Western North Carolina with the highest quality cemetery memorials monuments and mausoleums. We research and select only the finest quarried granite and marble available. Our colored stones are carefully chosen based upon their characteristics for colorfastness as well as for their grain, texture, and contrast when carved.

Custom Memorials and Monuments are our specialty. We assist families in all aspects of memorialization from cemetery and site selection to size, material, design, finish, carving and lettering.
