Dance Specialties has been serving the area for over 30 years. Heather Maree, partnered with her mother, Pam Carroll, took ownership in 2000. Heather has been dancing for over 25 years and has been recognized regionally and nationally for Top Teacher and Top Choreographer.
2008-2009 Student of the Year
Payton Calvert is the 2008-2009 Student of the Year at Dance Specialties. She has been dancing for 8 years, 5 of which have been competition years. She competes in jazz and lyrical. She has a real passion for dance! Her determination to succeed is inspiring. She loves her dance family very much and wishes everyone nothing but success. Spending time at the studio is very special part of Paytons life!
Payton is a 5th grader at Gaston Christian School. She has received several academic honors including the Honor Roll. One of Payton's honors includes the Christianship Award in the 4th grade. She attends Bethlehem Baptist Church, where she is a member of the Children's Praise Team.
When not at the dance studio, Payton enjoys playing tennis and soccer, but her heart remains loyal to her Dance Specialties family!
