Piedmont Gastroenterology Specialists was established in 1957 as the first private practice of gastroenterology in the Piedmont region of North Carolina.
The physicians in the practice have served the medical community in various capacities including Secretary of the American Gastroenterology Association, President of the North Carolina Medical Society and President of the Medical Staff of Forsyth Memorial Hospital. More importantly, the practice has provided high quality gastroenterological services to Forsyth and surrounding counties for over 50 years.
In 1991, the practice established Piedmont Endoscopy Center and began providing endoscopy services in the first licensed ambulatory endoscopy facility in the state.
Today the practice delivers the latest in contemporary outpatient gastroenterology at its practice location in the Hawthorne Medical Plaza on the Forsyth Hospital Campus, Piedmont Endoscopy Center on the same campus, and in satellite offices in Yadkinville and Kernersville along with inpatient services at Forsyth Medical Center.
