Mountain Valley Hospice began serving the community as Hospice of Surry County, Inc. in December of 1983. In 2005 Hospice of Surry County, Inc. and Northern Hospice of Surry County merged and Mountain Valley Hospice & Palliative Care was the new name chosen.
Mountain Valley Hospice & Palliative Care provides hospice services to the terminally ill patients and their families in 16 counties from 6 locations in North Carolina and Southern Virginia.
