A Fresh Idea for Men
We all know most beauty salons cater to women, but now there's a place just for us guys. In this Fresh Idea Michelle King takes us to a place catered exclusively for the men in our lives that hate planning ahead.
For most women, getting their spouse, son, brother or significant other in the chair to get their locks cut can be an uphill battle. Well, the days of nagging may be over.
We know most guys hate cleaning, cooking, making hair appointments or all of the above.
"Guys hate doing appointments. They absolutely hate it. They like to run in and run back out," said Duke Sorensen, Area Developer, Sport Clips.
But when it comes to getting a hair cut there is one place men seem to flock.
"Sport Clips is really a guy's place. It's a place where we want guys to feel comfortable," Sorensen said.
Unlike a salon, Sport Clips specializes in the latest men's hair cuts.
Along with a cut and style customers get a scalp massage, a hot towel treatment and shoulder rub.
And for their viewing enjoyment, there are TVs everywhere so the guys can catch up on their favorite team.
"I like the fact that there are men's magazines and you can actually look thru them and go thru styles and you're not going to see women with perms it's catered to men," Nate said.
Now Sport Clips says it can also cut women's hair if they want to cash in on all the special sports treatments too.
The 21st Century Barber Shop for the Sports Fanatic
Headquartered in Georgetown, Texas, Sport Clips is one of the nation's fastest growing franchises. It's about performing a universal service - Haircutting is a $40 billion a year industry - everyone needs a haircut. But why does a haircut have to be so ordinary? The answer: It doesn't. Sport Clips' Clients can receive a basic haircut or opt for the MVP treatment, which includes a hot towel treatment, a neck and shoulder massage, and a relaxing shampoo.
In a unique environment - The big game is on at Sport Clips. Clients are surrounded by sports-themed television programs - at times even live events - so they can watch the latest sports highlights while they're getting a haircut or waiting for their turn in the chair. Sports memorabilia and lockers line the walls.
To an under served market - At Sport clips, Guys Win. We've created the perfect place for a guy to get a haircut. Our Clients often say, "It's where ESPN meats the barber shop." While many barbers are retiring nationwide, Sport Clips gives men an exciting alternative to the traditional salon - the Barber Shop of the 21st Century.
Sport Clips is a place where men and boys can go to get a great hair cut experience. Whether you want a specific men's hair style, a short hair cut or a really short hair cut, Sport Clips in Raleigh is the place for you.
