Welcome to the Greater Providence Baptist Church Website!

We are living during a time when many of our children and adults are separating themselves from the teaching of the church. It seems that many of our children are underestimating the value of their talents and gifts. Some are willing to abandon church because they feel that praising God is ancient history.

We can see there's a lot around us and even within that can cause us to take our eyes off Christ and lose our appreciation for our first love relationship. We are wrestling with the world, the flesh and the devil on a daily basis. These battles can rob us of our first priority and our love for Christ. It is apparent that we are in a love crisis because no one seems to know how to keep love alive. We are constantly seeking love in all the wrong places, rather than turning to the love that will sustain us everyday, the love of Jesus Christ.

We cannot hold God in our right hand and the world in our left hand at the same time. God wants to establish a spiritual relationship with us so that we can become the Christians that He intended for us to become by returning to our first love.
