Our Mission Statement
Saint Peter's Episcopal Church is a dynamic Episcopal community of faith providing sanctuary in the center of Charlotte.
Welcoming the stranger and nurturing one another, we joyfully live the mission of Jesus Christ through prayer, traditional liturgy, Christian education, active outreach, and love of all God's creation.
Worship At St.Peter's
Our central act of worship is the Holy Eucharist, also known as Holy Communion, The Lord's Supper, or the mass. We worship in accordance with The Book of Common Prayer and The Hymnal of 1982, books that have been authorized by the General Convention of the Episcopal Church. As we are a diverse congregation, our worship services reflect a variety of different styles to meet the personal needs and expectations of our many members.
Throughout the calendar year that mirrors the public school calendar, we have Christian Education for both children and adults. We heartily welcome children to participate in our services and believe that the habit of church attendance is instilled at an early age.
