JCAS Open House September 11th
At it again: JCAPL End of Summer Dog Wash was part of Johnston County Animal Services’ annual Open House on September 11. We washed shelter dogs, too, and several shelter dogs and cats found their forever home that day! Read more and see the photos!

JCAPL adopted out 245 dogs and puppies and 434 cats and kittens in 2009. Thanks to all our volunteers and donors and to Petsmart at White Oak Shopping Center in Garner, Petsmart on Timber Drive in Garner and Petsmart on Capital Blvd. in Raleigh.
Please Help : Adoptions have dropped from 2008 because of the economic situation and the increase of owner surrender dogs from folks who lost their homes. We have also had a big drop in foster homes for the same reason. Can you afford to care for just one dog or cat until adopted? JCAPL provides the medical care. Everyone we can't help ends up at the shelter which is so over crowded they have dropped their hold time to three days. Learn more about fostering.

Meet Madison... As a rescue of animals, one of our goals is to give homeless dogs (and cats) a New life.
This would involve a new (forever) family with usually a new name and such... just everything New to them so that they can move on to the happy life they deserve.

LOTUS is an absolutely gorgeous 3 year old girl with snowy white fur and sky blue eyes who loves to nuzzle and weave through your legs. Lotus is looking for her forever home.

You have to admit that this is one handsome boy...he is a 3 1/2 month Catahoula mix puppy who needs extra special medical care to become a healthy pup again...and find a furever home, of course. You can learn more about Felix by reading his letter.
