Barrier Island Station at Kitty Hawk is the newest of our beach resorts. Designed to deliver the ultimate vacation experience, the resort is located among 100 acres of pristine maritime forest that adjoins almost 700 acres of wildlife preserve. Both the resort and the preserve are home to all types of waterfowl, deer, fox and raccoons. The area is considered by nature lovers as "paradise on earth". The forest is robust with vegetation ranging from fern, cypress knees to hundred-year-old holly, hickory and oak trees. This tranquil setting is surrounded by the beautiful beaches and sounds of North Carolina's Outer Banks.

The architect and developers have truly captured the wonder and natural beauty of this ancient maritime forest and all of its features. Roads and all infrastructure are planned to follow the natural terrain and lay of the land. Nature trails are crafted to capture the beauty of the forest while allowing full enjoyment of this magnificent setting with minimal impact upon the environment.

Located on the northern limits of the town of Kitty Hawk, the resort is close to attractions, shopping, restaurants, the ocean & the sound. The beach is wide, soft & clean, and there are lifeguards on duty all summer long.
