Child Nutrition Program, Inc helps eligible child care homes and child care centers serve nutritious meals, teach children about healthy eating, and receive federal money for serving meals that comply with Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) requirements.
Established in 1982, CNP, Inc. is one of the largest CACFP sponsors in the state. We administer funding for over 22,000 meals each day, serving over 750 child care providers in 25 North Carolina counties. On-line claims processing is now available to family day care homes.
CNP, Inc., a non-profit organization, receives federal funds to administer CACFP. However, this funding has not kept pace with the rising costs of the technology now required to administer and maintain the integrity of this program. We must now ask businesses and individuals for financial support to help us continue the important work of bringing nutritional food to the thousands of growing children in our communities. Contributions are tax deductible.
