Jon was eight years old when he first got sick. It took his doctors an entire year to bring the illness under control, and it came back twice over the next 20 years. He needed red cells and platelets every 5 - 7 days, until he finally received a bone marrow transplant.
Meet more local patients
William was born on November 24, 2009, but a complication during birth led to a severe respiratory problem. He spent the first five days of his life on an ECMO machine. During that time, he received type AB, CMV negative platelets, which helped keep him alive until his heart and lungs could work on their own.
She entered the world at 26 weeks, weighing only 1 pound, 11 ounces. Her young lungs were underdeveloped and her white cell count was dangerously low. Thanks to local blood donors like you, Tyler went home to her family after 10 weeks and 3 blood transfusions.
Puppies for Patients
This holiday season, give the gift that costs nothing but means everything to a local patient. When you donate blood between November 1st and December 31st, you will have the opportunity to save three local lives and brighten a local child's hospital stay. Donors can sign a gift tag that will be attached to a stuffed puppy and delivered to children in our local hospitals.

Scholarships and Grants for High School Students
CBCC is proud to offer two distinct programs to our high school partners dedicated to saving local lives through community blood donation. We think it's important to educate and recognize our young donors and give back to schools in our community. To participate in either the scholarship or grant program, your school needs to join CBCC's High School Blood Drive Program.
We Need Your Help
Our local hospitals and patients depend on us for the blood products they need, and we depend on you for donations! Donating blood is one of the few ways you can make a huge impact in your community by truly giving of yourself.
