Taylor Academy of Dance is dedicated to creating superb dancers in a professional dance setting. At Taylor Academy of Dance, we offer a diverse program for all students, age 2 ½ to adult, in ballet, pointe, variations, partnering, jazz, tap, modern and pre-ballet. Whether you are studying for the sheer joy of dance or wish to become a professional, Taylor Academy of Dance is the studio for you.
Taylor Academy of Dance offers only the most professional instruction from qualified teachers. Performance opportunities are available.
Miss Jill Taylor has been teaching for over 15 years and holds a B.F.A from Butler University, where she received High Honors in Dance Performance. She also holds her M.F.A. in Dance from The Boston Conservatory. Miss Taylor later went on to dance professionally for Jose Mateo’s Ballet Theatre of Boston and The Boston Dance Company. Miss Taylor has also appeared as a guest artist for Ballet South, in NJ, where she performed the title role of the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker.

First Steps – Like the name says, this class is designed for the very beginning student, age 2 ½ to 3 years of age. This class is an introduction to movement in which the student learns rhythm, moving to musical counts, moving in different directions, etc.
Pre-Ballet – This class is for students who are 3 to 5 years old. Introductory ballet terminology and basic ballet fundamentals are taught.
Ballet I through Ballet VI – Placement into Ballet I – Ballet VI is based on the student’s age, level of accomplishment and prior dance experience.
